Logic Pro Help

Hi all,

I have mojave still, so obviously can't install 10.6. But I currently have 10.5. How do I update to 10.5.1?

the App store should give you that version automatically.

Hmmm, maybe I wasn't patient enough...when I went into the app store, it said "your apps are all up to date".

That means Logic was updated automatically.
Double check your Applications folder, find the Logic app and right-click Get Info.
I'm on Mojave as well and I have 10.5.1.

No, unfortunately, the about box for logic still says 10.5.

delete LogicPro (or compress it to a zip file first and then delete it), then run the App store and install LogicPro again. It should be latest version.

This has stopped working.

I just upgraded my studio Mac from Sierra to Mojave. I had been waiting until all my works in progress were finished.

I can't upgrade Logic from 10.4.4 through the App Store. It doesn't matter if I delete the app or not. From the main Logic Pro page in the store I just get the warning that it requires 10.5.

From my account, on what used to be the past purchases page, I do get a prompt saying I can download an older version, but then either it just does nothing or I get an "error" message.

Fortunately I can copy it over from another Mac.

You could try logging out of the App Store and then log back in. That sometimes alters what's offered for download, though it's nonsensical, at least to me.

Hi guys, same problem here.

I have OSX 10.14.6 and App Store doesn't offer me the compatible lates version (10.5.1).
Already tried to log out/log in... deleted Logic 10.4 from de Mac etc.

Did someone solved this?

Some people have had success with a sequence of putting Logic in the trash, restarting, logging out and in, going to past purchases, going to the Logic page in App Store.

Please let us know if you are able to solve it.

If not, the only solution is to bring it over from another Mac.

That thread is from 2013. That definitely stopped working. The thread I quoted is current, with posts from December 2020. But it seems to not work either

Exactly. Sadly, the only way to get the installer, was through a Torrent site.
Not comfortable with this option, but Apple left us alone here.

I will stay polite but what a stupid decision from Apple.

I don't know about stupid, they probably have their reasons... but it certainly is very frustrating.

If only Apple would explain the reasons why such a decision was made, it would at least help to ease the pain. Let's hope they'll provide a solution to help their customers in that situation when you don't have access to a backup.

Sounds like: If you don't have the latest chip with latest OS, you don't deserve our time.

If I was in your situation, I would give APPLE a call and kindly ask them to send you the last LPX version available for Mojave 10.14.6 (18G8022) which is Logic Pro 10.5.1. Sounds good to you?

Thanks for the suggestion, but call Apple in my country usually is a waste of time.
Plus, I already read in forums about other users with the same problem, who tried do call Apple US and they don't send links.
