Using a Korg DW8000 in Logic Pro X

In addition to what David said, be sure to open Audio Midi Setup from your Utilities folder that lies within the Application folder. Be sure your Midi interface has the proper up to date drivers installed first and that is shows up when "Show Midi Studio" is selected from the "View" Menu within the Audio MIDI Setup application...

 

Your interface with its name should reside in the window pictured with all its MIDI in and out ports. From there you can add new devices and patch in which devices you have to the ports on the interface and then check them with the Test Setup button on the top right of the MIDI window. Hope that helps, at least it confirms that the system is receiving MIDI properly, so then Logic should work accordingly...
