MVS
Can I change the tempo on an entire project? I recorded several audio tracks and one midi instrument track at 128 bpm. I'd like to bump it up to around 140 bpm, but how? Thanks
lookatthisguy
Easily searchable in the manual. For my money, easiest method is to open the lists on the right side of the window, choose the Tempo Event List, and change the value there. Note that without using Flex Time or some other retiming process, your audio tracks will no longer be in sync with the project tempo. wandempa
Separate but related question so dropping it into this thread rather than start a new one... I have audio tracks (no midi) recorded at 87 bpm. The client didn't send the click track and I forgot to set the tempo when starting the project so it is set at 120 default bpm. When I change tempo in the project to 87 with "follow tempo" selected it slows down the audio. When I "dont' follow" it does things to the waveforms nonetheless i.e. inserts silence, splits regions etc. I want to keep the audio files exactly as they are but just change the underlying grid to the slower tempo so that I can have a click for additional overdubs. How is this done ?

How is this done ? Hello wandempa and welcome to Logic Pro Help. Your issue isn't quite the same. In your case you want to disable Follow Tempo, but select all the audio regions and choose Functions > Lock SMPTE Position before you change the project tempo.
