Mark1971
Hi, I know there's a shortcut for this. I have a midi region that I want to copy in the same timing position but 4 bars ahead. I'm building a drum track. What's the shortcut for that?
David Nahmani
In the Snap menu, select Snap Regions to Relative Value and Bar, then Option-drag the region to the desired bar to make a copy.
Mark1971
Hi David! But is there a way to secure that position without dragging? For some reason I thought there was some shortcut that could do that. Like to copy it automatically to the next bar or every 4th bar? Maybe I'm imagining it:)
Jangus
Select notes in piano roll and do edit/repeat/multiple ?
David Nahmani
You can make a Marquee selection and press Command-R to repeat it.
volovicg
There is an unassigned midi key command ("Midi Copy") that is extremely versatile. It allows for many options including replace, merge, insert etc..... See below an example of how to copy and insert both prior to a region and after a region using this key command.... See if this is something useful for you ?
David Nahmani
There is an unassigned midi key command ("Midi Copy") that is extremely versatile. Fascinating. I wasn't aware of that command. You can actually find it in the Edit menu as well (if you don't fancy key commands). Thanks Greg.
