TimeForMusic
Any thoughts on this? Would be nice just to be able and 'copy' and 'paste' these between tracks.
Trancespotter
I think the common workaround is to save the channel strip settings.
enossified
It is possible to cut and paste control by control from one track to another, but cutting and pasting all controls in one pass isn't supported. Cut and paste only works properly when the control mappings are identical in both channel strips.
David Nahmani
Which data exactly do you want to copy/paste between tracks? Mappings? Assignments? Layouts?
TimeForMusic
Which data exactly do you want to copy/paste between tracks? Mappings? Assignments? Layouts? All of the above unfortunately. I just want a standard set identical to all my tracks but I see setting that up could be a real pain.
David Nahmani
So do all your tracks use the same patch? Same set of plug-ins to map the same Smart Controls to the same parameters?
TimeForMusic
So do all your tracks use the same patch? Same set of plug-ins to map the same Smart Controls to the same parameters? Essentially with some slight variations maybe, yes. Like, all tracks would probably have EQ On slot 1, maybe compressor on slot 6, etc for general consistency. Of course the tracks themselves will have different instruments loaded in but im looking for a clean, compact, dedicated interface to control my go-to effects on the fly. Like, instantly dial in some reverb without having to open the plug-in window and click those nobs. I guess I realize a physically MIDI mixer would do just this as well? But it’s nice being able to see data values.
