Of_Mars
Hey all, This is my first time on the board. Ok basically I am running Logic Pro X, on the M1 apple laptop, on Big Sur OS. I am having trouble opening projects with third party plug-ins. Most times I try to open a project I get the following message: If I keep trying to open the project It will eventually open. Often the plug-ins sound like they have loaded correctly, but when I try to open them they actually arn't there and I have to reload the plug-in. Plug-ins I am using all say they are Big Sur compatible eg: Neural DSP- Fortin Nameless, Kontakt - Noir Piano etc, GGdrums - One kit wonder etc. Also something new that happens every time I open a project is the following: Could this have something to do with it? I have tried taking component files out of the plug-ins folder. this of course does solve the issue, temporarily, but does not solve the over arching issue of seamlessly using the Plug-ins that are supposedly compatible. I do eventually get all my projects to open, but sometimes it takes 20 tries. I am not super technical, so if you have a fix, please walk me through in the most layman way possible. Hope you can help, Thanks all Mars
des99
Are you running Logic natively or under Rosetta? Does this make a difference?
Mania
It’s all the incompatibility issues with third party plugins on M1 Mac’s. Try Opening Logic in Rosetta. (Application folder/Logic right click/tick open in Rosetta)
Of_Mars
Thank you both, Rosetta worked perfectly Just incase anyone else needs this, it's : Application folder/ (Right click) Logic Pro X / Get Info / (tick) Open using Rosetta. Thanks Mars
facej
Rosetta is definitely the way to go at this time.
