TakeOne
Hi guys, I have the following Problem using an external Synth in Logic Pro X: I want to use Mikrokorg S as an external Instrument , but also want to be able to quantize Midi notes, send it back to the Mikrokorg and then record the Audio. I have connected the Midi-Out of the Korg to the Midi-In of my USB audio interface. The Midi-In of the Korg is connected to the Midi-Out of the interface. The audio output of the synth is also connected to the interface. So far everything works fine. I'm able to record Midi, quantize it in the piano roll, send it back to the Mikrokorg and record that audio. But if I hit the spacebar or click on Play/Pause/Record in logic, that triggers notes on my Korg. That is quite annoying ;D I hope anyone can help me. Thanks in advance and kind regards, Gernot
enossified
According to the MIDI Implementation chart for the microKorg: It seems that the transport commands are triggering the mK's arpeggiator. Try disabling external MIDI clock in the mK global settings and see if the problem goes away. If you need the mK to synch with Logic's clock, then you'll have to find another workaround.
