Efficiency / chopping long audio file / smaller samples

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find a more efficient way of chopping up a long audiophile into smaller samples when making Sampler instruments.

Right now, Im trying to chop up a long audio file (250mb) into smaller chops for individual keys across a Sampler instrument, but what happens when i save it, is that the length each chop is the length of the total audio file (250mb!) ; so the Samples folder ends up being 19gigs! Is there a way to do this so that each chop is its own small entity and NOT part of the whole audio file? I hope this makes sense! Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Create a folder on your desktop

Select, Drag and drop the chopped files to this folder

And drag them back from that folder to Sampler Instrument

Thanks Ozinga!

I ended up selecting the files, then exporting them to a folder somewhere, then loaded them into Sampler. Which is essentially what you suggested.
