Count Dooku
I’d like to transform midi velocity information from my midi sequencer into modulation wheel information, sending from logic/Mainstage to an external hardware synth. Is this something I could do with Scripter? Would anyone be so kind as to post a script or otherwise point me in the right direction? Thanks! fuzzfilth
Fourways to do it: 1. in realtime pre- or post recording in the Environment 2. in realtime post recording in Scripter 3. in realtime post recording with the Modifier MIDI plugin 4. offline via MIDI Transform Think about what suits you best then let's follow that route. Count Dooku
Thanks for the reply! I'm mostly going to be using Mainstage for this, all done in realtime performance situations, so I guess pre-recording options are best? So would that be option 1 or 4? Solution fuzzfilth Posted March 27, 2021 Solution Share Posted March 27, 2021 Mainstage doesn't have an Environment, not sure it has Scripter as I'm not actually using it. MIDI Transform would need recorded MIDI data to work with, which Mainstage can't do, so what remains is the Modifier MIDI FX plugin, check if you can find that. MIDI FX plugins are in a Software Instrument channel, above the audio plugins. You'd need to use the External Instrument plugin as the actual instrument which then routes MIDI to the outside world.
