Time streching corrupting audio files

Hello

I cant really use logic X anymore...

I open a new session - 48/44.1 either.

I select a drum sample from my sample collection in the media window.

I drag it onto the timeline and it plays fine.

But if i need to time stretch it to say 125bpm from 124bpm the file corrupts slightly.

Usually about the 3 beat of a two bar loop something is out of time for a second.

When i look at the waveform on the time- zoom in- line it also looks sightly different ie a kick missing its initial attack spike.

I can even begin to write a track anymore unless none of my material needs time stretching.

I have a label expecting more music from me and i cant find anyone else online who has this problem.

Firs thing to do is to use untagged loops feature in the browser for all your loops so Logic analyses the tempo info.

Also

File/project settings/smart tempo page;

Set imported audio files to ''On''.

So whatever loop you import matches the song tempo using flex time instead of using time stretch

Lastly make sure the flex algo is set to slicing for drum loops.
