fusbur Posted April 9, 2021 Share Posted April 9, 2021 Hi Guys A singer I work with wears a hearing aid in one ear and struggles with headphones as her hearing aid feeds back. robinloops Posted April 9, 2021 Share Posted April 9, 2021 (edited) Maybe try using hearing aid and lowering volume in that side until feedback goes away. Another option is to have her use only one side of the headphones to monitor (on the good side). You’ll need to set up a mono headphone mix for her and cut volume from unused side. In this scenario she can try both with the hearing and without (in ear not monitoring headphones). Jmando Posted April 10, 2021 Share Posted April 10, 2021 I wear hearing aids and have no issues using open headphones but there is some bleed from the open cans. I have programmable hearing aids and had my audiologist create a setting for me so I can use closed cans when recording without feedback.
