Logic Pro Disk I/O high and peaks when record enable

Hi,

I use a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) with Logic Pro X 10.4 in mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 and with a 500GB SSD half free. The I/O Buffer is 256

I have an issue with Disk I/O. I've tested it in a very simple project with no device plugged in using the built in audio interface and just 1 audio track.

I record enable (arm) the audio track and press play. The Disk I/O is completely low but when I press stop it peaks!!. This happens only when I arm the audio track. After some time the Disk I/O almost reaches peak just by playback the project without doing any recording but with the audio track armed. At some point this leads to Disk I/O overload

I have used first Aid to check for hard disk but this didnt fix the problem.

This is so annoying working on small projects and having such issues. Anybody could help on this? What can cause this issue?

Thanks in advance
