Logic Pro Controller

Tue Apr 13, 2021 12:09 pm

Is there a possibility that apple will design a controler for logic pro in the future ? (without ipad -logic remote)
i think that would be great.

Think of a controller that belongs entirely to logic pro

like SSL UF8 or Softube Console 1 or Avid S3
• Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic Pro X 10.6.1)
• OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS X Bigsur 11.2.3)
• Computer (MacMini)
• Processor (M1)
• Memory (8gb)
• Audio interface manufacturer and model (Apogee)

There's a possibility of anything, really, but I wouldn't hold my breath. They've got a pretty comprehensive solution with Logic Remote, save for a tactile interface. I can't imagine them investing a ton of R&D and manufacturing into a device that will barely sell when considered against the success of the other devices.

Oh, I see David commented while I was typing! I still want a really good control surface solution for my own studio in the eventual future, but I may have to go with the Avid hardware because sometimes we just can't escape Pro Tools. (I always really wanted the Euphonix>Avid Artist series controllers… shame they got discontinued.) Can't go wrong with the Mackies now though…
