[SOLVED] How to "sync" the physical knob and the synth parameter?

So I assigned a knob to the ES2 filter cutoff.

What I'm experiencing is that if the ES2 cutoff is for example at 1 (completely open), but my MIDI controller's knob is somewhere else for example in the middle position, only when I go all the way up with the knob, it starts affecting the CutOff. Is there a way for it to move the cutoff immediately and catch the position of the knob right away?

I tried all the different options under the "Mode" dropdown menu, but no luck.

This is a control surface parameter in the prefs - you can either use a catchup mode (where nothing happens until your control "passes through" the original setting), or a immediate behaviour, where the value jumps to the knob position as soon as you touch the knob.

Logic Pro -> Control Surfaces -> Preferences -> Pickup Mode is the setting that toggles between those two behaviours.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for. ;)

I'm like you - I much prefer immediate mode, so I know instantly what I'm controlling. Otherwise there is a lag while nothing happens as you move a control, and you're not sure it's doing anything etc...

Exactly. That’s what happened today. I thought it wasn’t assigned even though it showed that it was
