Copy region and all automation to another track

So, I was looking for an auto pan feature in logic similar to the auto pan feature in Ableton and I saw David had suggested to someone that this can be done in the tremolo plugin. However, I’m failing to get a nice sweeping pan with that, so I’ve decided to simply duplicate the region to another track and pan one track to the left and the other to the right. I realize I won’t get any sweeping action going on here though.....how do I duplicate (copy) a region along with all automation to another track?

You might just as well move the pan back to the middle, because that's what duplicating a track and panning both outside sounds like.

 

Tremolo plugin is the way to go.

 

But for the record - there is a key command New Track With Duplicate Settings And Content, don't know if it's assigned to a key by default, open Logic>Key Commands>Edit to find/assign it.

Thanks Fuzz, I was under the impression that if I panned two tracks to left and right I could apply more gain to either one separately for a different effect.

Make sure you insert the tremolo as a stereo plugin, the panning won't work in mono... So if it's a mono track, insert it as mono>stereo.

And it's possible to option drag a track to copy both track and content to a new independent track.
