Trashytommy
Haven’t been doing anything on the computer for over an hour but I left a track playing over and over again during that time while Ive been doing stuff around the house then I got a system error message. Googled it and said I might not have enough processing power or running too many tracks and plugins and might have other applications open? I’m using a maxed out MacBook Pro, no other applications open and only.....four tracks playing!! A little eq and compression on the tracks but that’s it. It was just a a simple question of closing the the error message and all is well but it has me concerned that there might be problems coming soon.....is this anything to worry about. This computer is only used for logic and iTunes, that’s it and not a bunch of files stored on it at all.
triplets
What are the specs of your Macbook Pro?
David Nahmani
Could just be because you've left the computer idle. I wouldn't worry about it. Make sure your computer doesn't go to sleep though?
Trashytommy
Triplets, specs are 2013 MBP, 2.6GHz intel core 17 Memory 16gigs 1 TB storage....more than enough than I use it for - just Logic and as a novice I don’t have any projects with more than about 20 tracks and very few projects done - I still have 700 gigs left. Cool David - yes, I left it idle but playing tracks over and over for an hour or so. Why should I be concerned about letting it go to sleep? I never shut it down, I pretty walk away and let it sleep with projects open but saved.
triplets
Yeah, you don't want to let it sleep with projects open. It can lead to project corruption. I suggest you close the project for your own sanity.
David Nahmani
Sleep mode is known for creating issues, driver disconnections, core audio engine failures, etc. I have all my productions machine set to never go to sleep.
