Claude Ruest
Hello I guess my question is more a general Mac question but i am wondering how i can make a copy of all my projects on a USB key to have backups...all at once. Where are they in the computer ? i gave access to a file manager called Commander one and its still a real pain to find the files and copy them to an external usb thing. I gave access .It didnt help me at all. I feel Apple left me down on that part. I cant manage my compositions backups without asking for help on how to unlock stuff in my own computer. That doesnt sound serious really. The way we save presets, patches instruments OMG..a real mess. many sub directories, how hard it is to find out what and where to save what? Ok i'll stop here cause im thinking of buying a good pc and work from there.
fuzzfilth
Not sure why you'd need a file manager on top of the existing file manager. Click on your desktop to select the Finder, then hit command-N, in the window that opened scroll down to Music>Logic and find all your projects peacefully laying there. fuzzfilth
Depends on how deep your editing is, what and how you have save and also what the setting of Logic>File>Project Settings>Assets was/is: If you are *NOT* creating - Sampler Instruments - Ultrabeat Instruments - Space Designer Impulse Responses or work with video files, then this setting covers your needs: You mention files and no folders in your Logic folder, this means you are saving "as Package". This will contain - Audio files you created by recording, importing or bounce-in-place - Freeze files if you use that option - Project file (which knows what goes where) If you move a Project Package to another drive, all its contents go with it. Library content (factory instruments and Space Designer Impulse Responses) will be pretty much identical between computers with a full Logic install, so there is no need to save that to the Project Package
