australo95
Hello, I just updated my 16 inch 2019 macbook pro to Big Sur 11.3 and Logic Pro 10.6.2. I use a Focusrite Clarett 2Pre USB-C interface. For some reason, whenever my interface is selected as the input and/or output, Logic's UI becomes extremely laggy, most notably in the volume bars visible across all audio monitoring. If I unplug the interface and change the I/O to my macbook pro speakers and mic, the lag completely goes away. I've updated my interface's driver but that didn't help. This is such a bummer, I was thinking to call Focusrite support tomorrow but I don't know if anything will come of it, especially if it's just a compatibility issue between my interface's current firmware and the most recent Mac OS update. Please help!
David Nahmani
Have you tried a different I/O buffer size in Logic's preferences? I would definitely contact Focusrite and ask them for help. Once you do please do let us know what comes of it.
fisherking
make sure the microphone is checked for logic in system preferences>security & privacy>privacy. and/or try resetting the SMC (google instructions for your specific mac).
