Three grouped eigth notes in 7/8 Bar

Sun May 02, 2021 2:06 pm

Dear Forum,

1) I would love to layout the first three notes as grouped eigth notes. Is that possible?
Somehow the third note is written as quarter note. The length is an eigth note as you can see in the piano roll.
2) How to group the 7/8 in 3+2+2 as a default?

Thanks very much
Best regards

You could manually add an eight rest.
No idea how to achieve a default grouping though.

I need to see more of the track to see if there are other notes in the rhythmic division....
For now...

1/ make sure interpretation and syncopation is turned off in the inspector.
2/ double click on the time signature and add 3+2+2 in the beat grouping field.
