Smart quantize, swing, and note-off

I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the swing option in MIDI Smart Quantize to get what I want it to do. When swinging eighth notes, this feature (correctly) adjusts the note-on *and* note-off of the off-beat eighth notes. But it doesn't adjust the note-off times (i.e. the durations) of the notes on the downbeats.

Let's say we start with straight 8ths, not swung, like so:

If you apply Q-Swing of 66% to make a full triplet feel, the result is this:

That sounds staccato. Definitely not swinging. I'd like the durations of the notes on the downbeats to be adjusted so that the phrase sounds legato. Swinging. This is what I'd like to see (I did this manually, which is what I'm trying to avoid):

Is there an option, or preference. or quantization type, that I need to invoke in order to get the desired result?

Thanks.

It does lengthen the on-beat notes here so they stay legato. Are you in 10.6.2?

Interesting. I'm on LPX 10.6.2, macOS 11.2.3.

The presets "swIng A", "swing B", etc. do the right thing, so there is a workaround of sorts: using those presets along with the Q-Strength slider. But that's pretty clunky. I wonder why my machine behaves differently...

Thanks.

I used 1/8 Swing C I believe to test this out. Can you try it again in a new empty project, see if that works as expected?

Those presets (like 1/8 swing C) work correctly, right out of the box. But then try the Q-Swing slider. Anything other than 50% and you'll see the problem. And the problem happens whether the quantize is set to 1/8 swing C/D/etc., or straight 1/8.
