davidhanmusic
Hi! Just joined this forum specifically to ask this question. I'm a new user of Logic and I'm really enjoying the software and this website! I've come across this weird problem with Logic a few days ago. I'm in the process of writing a new song and I've noticed some of the instruments/recordings are playing earlier than others. Here's an example of the issue. When I originally recorded the guitar on top of the drums it was perfectly in sync but now it's playing earlier than the drums. [soundcloud] [/soundcloud] The tracks that are playing early have lots of effects on it and the problem seems to temporily go away if i click 'reset channel strip' so it must be the effects I'm using. But I'm only using Logic's stock plugins and my computer is a 2020 iMac with i9 and 64GB of ram so the spec shouldn't be an issue. Also, shouldn't heavy use of plugins make instrumets play later not early...? Has anyone here come across this issue as well? Anyone know how to solve it? David Nahmani
Make sure you have plug-in latency compensation set to All under Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio?
davidhanmusic
Make sure you have plug-in latency compensation set to All under Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio? Afraid it's already set to all...
David Nahmani
Have you updated Logic Pro since you started that project?
davidhanmusic
Have you updated Logic Pro since you started that project? No, but I'm still on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 and latest Logic. Could this be the issue?
triplets
Latest Logic could be a suspect.
David Nahmani
Indeed, they did change some of the plug-in delay compensation behaviors in the latest Logic version (10.6.2) and some have reported projects falling out of sync. If that's an issue I would finish producing your project in the same Logic version that was used to start that project.
