In order to run redundant tracks live with two synced macs, I need computer A to play a drone tone into my audio switch (play12 atm). If the sine, just for a fraction of a micro second drops out, the switch will go to computer B instead. My issue: It all seem to be up and running, and I hit play. Then the play12 switches to comp B. Annoying - I figured that when I hit play, my logic cuts the sine for a millisecond and this is causing the switching. My colleagues don’t have this issue, it seems to only be my computer that can’t be connected to the gear. But why? I want to fix this. I’ve fooled around, changing buffet size and a lot of stuff as I wondered if it could be some kind of “reset” message that was being sent to the softsynths. I’ve been searching the web, but can’t find any answers. I’ve tried different oscillators (iConnectivtys own LifeSine, Logics Test Oscillator, and a bunch of others), but the issue remains. Any thoughts? As my everyday work horse, the Mac works fine and I don’t have any other issues with logic or plug-ins in my daily usage. It’s just this very small and stupid problem.
