kevkevkevz
Hi all. I've just bought a Mio cable to run my synths from my computer. I can see the mio cable as a midi destination in Logic Pro 10.6. But it doesn't send notes when using "external instrument". Nothing. It drives me crazy. 4 hours lost. Some complementary informations : MacBook pro 16' Big Sur Mio plugged on a USB-C hub I can run my synths from my digitakt. Please help me. David Nahmani
To troubleshoot, I would disconnect the USB hub from the Mac entirely, and connect the MIO directly to the Mac. Can you make it work that way?
kevkevkevz
Only usb-C on Mac book pro 16'
David Nahmani
Only usb-C on Mac book pro 16' Only one is needed. Disconnect the hub, connect the MIO. See if that works.
kevkevkevz
I can't plug directly mio on the Mac book pro 16', because it's not usb-C.
David Nahmani
I can't plug directly mio on the Mac book pro 16', because it's not usb-C. You don't have an adapter? A lot of those connectivity issues often end up pointing to USB hubs as being the culprits, so it may be worth getting one if you need to troubleshoot this. kevkevkevz
I'm using that : https://fr.shopping.rakuten.com/offer/buy/5022417044/hubs-usb-vava-hub-usb-c-8-en-1-ethernet-rj45-1gbps-hdmi-4k-uhdfull-hd-1080p-lecteur-carte-sdtf-3-0-3-x-usb-3-0-usb-126387.html?bbaid=7828974922&t=180160&ptnrid=sKlrFl7nM_dc%7Cpcrid%7C414361962228%7Cpkw%7C%7Cpmt%7C%7Cptaid%7Cpla-919614607327%7Cpgrid%7C88817545141%7C&gclid=CjwKCAjwy42FBhB2EiwAJY0yQjIJECjh39KURcNY4UvrFTPV44IBBmUahTRQsU7NsQfZ_UR3jKtzuRoCunIQAvD_BwE The thing is, Previously I had a IConnectivity Audo4+ and it was working (using this usb-c hub). I really don't know what to do.
David Nahmani
Well I would either contact iConnectivity and ask if the issue could be due to the use of the Hub, or get a USB-C to USB adaptor to your Mac to test it for yourself.

David Nahmani
You could also download MIDI Monitor (free) to start troubleshooting: https://www.snoize.com/midimonitor/
Solution kevkevkevz Posted May 20, 2021 Author Solution Share Posted May 20, 2021 Got a feedback and find the answer : the midi in cable must be plugged in the midi out on my synth. Which is both very logical... and not at all
David Nahmani
Oh great! Yes actually the logic of cabling is that gozouttas are cabled into gozintas (a signal flows from the Output of a device, into the Input of another device).
