Mikey 3000
I can't imagine such a profitable business that has been going on for a long time deciding to cash and bail just because Apple updates their processors. I know what you mean, but there's a new wave of M[x] MacBook Pros coming out in the coming month and Waves still haven't updated their compatibility progress report. It's been several months now. Plus, for good measure, I just tried to log into their user forum to see if I could find any information and that now appears to be dead too. Doesn't exactly fill one with confidence! David Nahmani
Waves still haven't updated their compatibility progress report. It's been several months now. I heard back from them! Hi David, Thank you for your email and interest. We are working on M1 compatibility as quickly as we can. The current ETA is Q4 of this year. Keep in mind any Waves plugin or bundle purchase comes with one year of free updates under the Waves Update Plan.

I knew it was coming, I just didn't expect it would take so long. They do have such large catalogue to go through and to test, but I'm also wondering whether COVID restrictions may have slowed some of the process down as well. David Nahmani
FL Studio 20.8.4 is now Native M1.The reason I mentioned this is because you can load FL Studio in Logic as an instrument. I've installed and just tested this and it works great. Great, thanks. Not sure how this submission slipped through the cracks but I only just saw it now. I've added it. Nice new avatar by the way. David Nahmani
Hey millenliam, I've started to add your contributions, and again, a big thank you to you. A couple of precisions would be welcome, if you have them: - Audio Damage - All Rosetta 2 - some native Apple Silicon (e.g. Quanta) - https://www.audiodamage.com/blogs/news/a-quick-note-about-apple-silicon I can't find info listing Quanta as native Apple Silicon? - Baby Audio - native Apple Silicon - https://babyaud.io/faqs All I see is that their products are "compatible" with the M1, is there any more specific info out there (does that mean Rosetta 2 or native)? millenliam
- Audio Damage - All Rosetta 2 - some native Apple Silicon (e.g. Quanta) - https://www.audiodamage.com/blogs/news/a-quick-note-about-apple-silicon I can't find info listing Quanta as native Apple Silicon? It was just in the update changelog (think I spotted this on the installer) - found a changes list here - https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=7966995#p7966995 - Baby Audio - native Apple Silicon - https://babyaud.io/faqs All I see is that their products are "compatible" with the M1, is there any more specific info out there (does that mean Rosetta 2 or native)? Good question - I don't know sorry. In my list I've noted native Apple Silicon support, but I can't find any evidence of that explicitly so that may be an incorrect assumption by me! So may be best to list it as Rosetta 2 support only?
millenliam
I’ve just heard back from Baby Audio regarding Apple Silicon support: “ At the moment, the only M1 supported plugin is TAIP. The rest have not been updated yet, but as we update and iterate on our plugin lineup overtime they will all eventually take full advantage of Apple silicon. Currently our entire lineup does run on M1, they just run as if it was an Intel based system.”

ValliSoftware
Waves V13https://www.waves.com/support/waves-with-apple-m1-processors Wow, that's a pretty big news! Thanks! i'll update the list now. They like most venders don't tell you exactly everything. Some vendors don't update thier installer programs which require Rosetta 2 to be installed, for those I can extract and copy those pieces to the required folders and everything works great. For others like Waves, thier Waves Central v13 is the license manger and is part of the whole product, without that, you can't run thier Audio Units, VST because Waves Central V13 sets up the license for each plug-in on your system. So this is what I got from Waves Tech Support (because I own several of thier plug-ins)... They told me, from a tecninal standpoint what I already knew, the Waves Central V13 (license manger) is NOT FULLY SUPPORTED ON M1 SYSTEMS. David Nahmani
I’ve just heard back from Baby Audio regarding Apple Silicon support: Great, I'm adding TAIP in native and the rest under Rosetta, thanks! For those that like experimenting with Generative Music, Wotja21 is now M1 Native. Thanks! The text doesn't specify, is it supporting M1 Natively, or under Rosetta? ADSR Sample Manager is native as of version 1.7 Thanks! Added. AconDigital DeVerberate 3 Thanks! Added. You can add Acon Digital Mastering Suite as well. Thanks! Added. Cableguys Halftime Plugin Native M1 support added https://www.cableguys.com/halftime.html Thanks! Is that really native M1? I find the listing unclear: Intel or M1 (Native/Rosetta) processor. Could be read Intel Native, M1 Rosetta. I am emailing the company to ask for precisions. Waves V13 Thanks! Added. Waves Central V13 (license manger) is NOT FULLY SUPPORTED ON M1 SYSTEMS. Thanks! Added that info as well. Noise Engineering plugins are now M1 Native Thanks! Added.

Yes it is unclear, but I just checked with Ableton 11.1 Beta which is Native and the vst version shows up in the plugin list. Otherwise it wouldn't.
