Choppy audio when slicing beats

So i am just getting used to using 10.6.1 and have been trying to use the slice function in the quick sampler, I used to import rex files to the exs 24 but with the loss of a hard drive recently I don't have those files anymore.

So my issue is that when i have sliced a beat it sounds fine to play but when i copy the midi to an instrument track the audio become really choppy, i tried turning down the release but is just doesn't seem to work.

it kind of sounds like the midi file is to short but no amount of tweaking will put it right.

Has anyone encountered this problem and are there any fixes?

I am not at work computer but, activating flex on quick sampler might help.

Thanks, when activating flex the problem doubles, however when I turn it off it corrects it self but I have to do this every time i change the tempo.
