Plastic Meanie
I've noticed that a small number of presets in Space Designer have a "+" after their name and when you open them their impulses are called egXYZ - CTS whereas most are XYZ- OST seemingly. What's this all about?
des99
I haven't looked, but I'd guess they're probably surround-format impulses, rather than straight stereo ones...
Plastic Meanie
No other thoughts? The manual seems to be silent on this one too.
ValliSoftware
I'm not a sound designer but I can read the description to find out it has to do with the speakers and mic setup they used. It's in the description of the SDIR, on some of the SDIR, not all.
Plastic Meanie
Thanks for these answers. Going into the impulse utility it looks like the Plus ones use four mics as against the regular 2 so that suggests they might well be designed for surround sound as des99 suggested?
