Generating an IR from a plugin

Hi all,

I'm fond of using the UA Ocean Way plugin for room reverb on my projects, but it's kind of a DSP hog. Is there a straightforward way to generate an impulse response for my favorite presets that I could use in Space Designer for those times when I'm maxing out the DSP usage?

Thanks, Trent

Logic comes with an Impulse Response Utility for creating impulses - it's inside the Logic app package, and you can use that to generate a sweep to run through your plugin and deconvolve the results into an impulse response you can use in Space Designer.

You can open the IR utility from the menu in Space Designer...

Hi. I'm trying to figure out how to do this - capture an EQ Match setting as an IR. Is there a way to do this "in the box" - all internally - within the computer using Impulse Response Utility, or do I need to somehow route the sweep out from a hardware output, into Logic, then back out to the Impulse Response Utility? Thanks.
