drakepeterdrake
I am having a problem in that lately, when I cut and paste either midi or audio, the inserted section doesn't always replace the previous section, but combines the two instead. In midi I'll see the old notes and the new notes in the list editor, and in audio if I click in the replaced section it will sometimes show the entire original section into which the new section was inserted. I don't want to merge in either of these circumstances; I want to replace. Do I have a setting wrong somewhere? Thanks. Peter
David Nahmani
Are you doing the cut and paste edit in the Tracks area? If yes, then you should set your Drag mode to No Overlap.

Solution David Nahmani Posted June 10, 2021 Solution Share Posted June 10, 2021 David, I'm sure you're correct. Could you please tell me where the Drag mode is? Thanks.P Sure, it should be at the top right of your Tracks area, in the menu bar:
