chucknkd
odd title I know, but here's the scenario: I make a groove template out of an midi region I have that has a great feel (not grid locked but really close and breathing). I record a new track of drums and quantize to the groove template ive created. not feeling quite right but dont want to quantize straight 16th grid, I want to quantize to some where between straight 16th and the groove template: but: anytime I undo quantization it just goes back to what was played in and I cant go somewhere between straight 16th and the groove template. so, is there a way to quantize with the groove template timing and then make THAT the NEW midi file? as in when I undo quantize it will go back to THAT groove template and not back to original recording? then I can start from there and adjust the strength of the straight 16th quantize to be somewhere between straight grid and groove template, could call it a tighter groove template. hope that makes sense! thx in advance c
Solution David Nahmani Posted June 11, 2021 Solution Share Posted June 11, 2021 Yes: choose Functions > MIDI Region Parameters > Apply Quantization Permanently.
