jeffloven
Is there a way to take a stereo audio file into logic and add a ritard tempo dynamic on the end of a song. I've simply edited a Motown backing track but the song fades out and I'm needing to use it for live performance and have edited out the fade. I think if i simply slow the tempo of the last 2-4 beats I can use that as an ending. I've tried the tempo bar in the global section at top but i think that only affects midi as the audio is not slowing down. Maybe this is too complex for Logic. Any thoughts? I guess I could take the section I want slower and make a file of just that part and use varispeed to make a slowere file and then add then import that section into another working file of the whole song... Atlas007
You seem to be already on the path to workaround to achieve your goal... Anyhow, have you considered setting the fade out region parameter to slow down? That might require to bounce-in-place first, if that region is already using that parameter as fade out (since that feature is mutually exclusive with the slow down). cinningbao
If you turn on Flex time on the track with the audio file, it should slow down with your tempo map.
