Basic file size/management question

HI. I've been trying to clean up my Logic folders, especially my earliest Logic experiments where everything was going everywhere.

I found this track (see screen shot) - a very simple thing with two guitar tracks, and in-house Logic bass and drums. Considering there are only two audio tracks, 190MB seems big to me. Maybe it's that the guitar tracks were cobbled together from many takes.

This track isn't precious, and I'd like to find the simplest way of consolidating the audio of the Guild. What's the best way to do this?

Once that's done, I'd like then to delete all the small files shown in the All Files Browser. How do I do this so that these files are gone for good?

Thanks!1635778045_ScreenShot2021-06-12at8_09_03AM.thumb.png.9b06728aed459bf529a299a3fd0ebd89.png

If you're absolutely sure you don't need the audio outside the project, in the Browser on the right, go Edit -> Select Unused, and then Edit -> Delete. You'll get a warning, click ok and that will remove any files which aren't in the project timeline. Check the folder size (or the file size if you save as Packages) and it should be a bit smaller.

Thanks for this. As simple as I could've wished!

In the Project Audio browser, Edit > Delete is non-destructive: it does not delete the audio file, it deletes only the reference to that audio file that is listed in the Project Audio Browser. The project size is unaffected.

To delete the audio files you need to choose Audio File > Delete File(s).

See the following detailed answer I gave on the topic in a recent question: Project clean up not working?
