brynjarmb
Hi there! My problem mostly happens when I play with a piano instrument and playing many notes at the same time. Sometimes a note just all of a sudden just does not play any sound at all. The notes that do not play are not in a specific range register, just random. Also, after recording MIDI a few notes that are visibly there in the region just do not make any sound sometimes, this rarely happens though and is I think connected to the notes not making a sound during the recording. Any help greatly appreciated! Thank you!!! I am on Catalina OS, so not sure if this might be fixed on updates specific to BigSur. I use a CODE61 M-Audio Keyboard, Macbook Pro early 2017. I am pretty experienced with Logic Pro but I have this problem coming up increasingly much after I started using mainly Spitfireaudio Instruments with Kontakt. David Nahmani
It really depends on the instrument, the patch used inside the instrument, and how that patch was programmed. For example, and that's just one thing that comes to mind at the moment: some patches have a limited number of voices, and are set up such as once for example 10 voices are used, further notes won't sound. It would be interesting to a make a copy of your project to test things out. Then, in the copy, replace your patch with another, or replace the instrument with a Logic factory instrument. See if the behavior is the same — or different?

See if the behavior is the same — or different? I just tried all the different instruments within my Spitfire Orchestral Grand Library and the only instrument that has this problem is the August Foerster Grand. It seems to be a Max Voice issue. Since the sound cut off seems to only happen when I am holding down the pedal and the voices ramp up to the Max 64 voices pretty quick and then when I change chords the sound cuts out. For example, this is not happening with the Concert Grand which has Max 256 voices. So, I guess I just have to go easy on the pedal when using some instruments. I have definitely come across a similar problem with other instruments from for example East West but have not been able to recreate those problems yet. Thanks so much for the reply by the way! David Nahmani
Can you increase the Mac voices number?
