ZedSmon Posted June 16, 2021 Share Posted June 16, 2021 Hi guys, really need urgent help..i am running mac pro 5.1 , Catalina osx, logic pro x and pcie avid nativ card...in audio midi setup i see native hd card and i can see inputs and outputs, if i right click on native hd device it doesnt give me option to use this device for inputs or outputs, when i open logic i can select hd native in audio preferences and logic gives me all 48 inputs and outputs but if i create a track with some logic audio loop logic meters dont show anything and digidesign interfaces (192) also doesnt show anything on meters and of course there is no audio output....really desperate to sort this out tonight couse of recording session tomorrow...thanks for help Zed Smon Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
triplets Posted June 16, 2021 Share Posted June 16, 2021 Avid interfaces are very picky, especially if you're not using ProTools. Did you install the correct driver for Catalina? Remember 5,1 Mac Pros are not supposed to work with Catalina. It's pure luck if they do. Mojave works flawlessly. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

extrememixing Posted June 17, 2021 Share Posted June 17, 2021 Since the 2021 Aviid updates, Logic no longer works with my Avid interfaces. It used to, but now I can play back, but the inputs don't work. Luckily I have an Apollo Twin that I can use, but that's not ideal because it's a pain to interface with any of my other gear. I wind up using the Twin preamps when I have two Neves and some really nice compressors ready to go, if I could just plug them in. It SUCKS!!!
