Auvaltool quit unexpectedly when validating plug-in?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to reinstall 'Play' after having some issues with it recently.

When I open Logic and try to validate the plug-in in Plug-in Manager, I get the following error message: 'auvaltool quit unexpectedly while using the Play plug-in.'

Any ideas what the problem is here/how to resolve it?

Thanks!

So I finally resolved this issue by re-installing the software after deleting all the backend components (not sure the technical term) fully first.

In case anyone ever has the same problem and finds this thread, I'll list below the files I deleted before re-installing:

- Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support - 'East West'

- Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > Components - 'PLAY.component'

- Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST - 'PLAY.vst'

- Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST3 - 'PLAY.vst'

- Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences - 'com.eastwest.Play.plist'

- Macintosh HD > Users > (your user name) > Library > Preferences - 'com.eastwest.Play.plist'
