JMLZ
Hi all, new to the forum and back to Logic after some 15 years using other DAWs. I'm getting this popup every time I open my default template (which doesn't have any midi track in it) or the midi tab in Preferences: Yesterday I was trying out the midi tracks and switch on my Behringer Pro-1. All worked as expected. The thing is, I use my hardware synths very seldom and keep them switched off most of the time, so now it seems like Logic wants to access that port (it indeed appears greyed out in the list). Any idea how to get rid of it? I promise I'm going through the user manual like it's a novel, but it's still early days... Thanks
Solution David Nahmani Posted June 22, 2021 Solution Share Posted June 22, 2021 You need to open that template, choose Window > Open MIDI Environment, click the Layer pop-up menu (top right) and choose MIDI Instr., find the "Off" instrument and delete it, or remove its port setting. Then re-save your template.
