Copy midi CC automation to different CCs

Hi,

So this is pretty dumb I’m on year five of using Logic but have never figured this out: how can I copy automation from one CC to another? For example, I’d like to copy mod wheel automation to expression. If I’m in the piano roll and have only an automation curve highlighted, why does it not work to just copy it and then view a different CC and paste? Is there some step I’m missing?

It certainly can be done but perhaps not in one single step.

For region automation: Have you tried the list editor?

You can do it in the Event List:

1. First select the Modulation data in the Piano Roll.

2. Open the Event List.

3. Press Command-D to duplicate the data.

4. On one of the selected events, click "Modulation" and in the pop-up menu, choose "Expression".

Copy that (pun!), thanks! I never think to make the event list part of my workflow. Will give it a go
