andyr
I’ve had occasion to send Logic projects back-and-forth via high tail while collaborating. It has worked without a hitch in the past. Today I decided to send a project I created on my laptop to myself so I could edit it on my iMac. When I opened the project on my iMac, all the comps and takes were “empty” of audio. No visible waveforms and no sound when I played the project. I used the search and locate links and none of my files were found. I tried several times, then I tried to use a thumb drive. After about five minutes I got a message that some of the files I was trying to transfer couldn’t be read. Am I forgetting a step or something? It’s just some acoustic drum tracks, no effects, a two-minute song. Maybe I should try without compressing? I’m not sure why that would matter. Thanks, Andy
Atlas007
When saving your project did you include its assets?
andyr
That’s a good question. Usually I’m on the iMac and I’m pretty sure I have it set to do that automatically. Maybe I need to tell the laptop what to do!
triplets
Maybe I need to tell the laptop what to do! Good idea. You can use the File - Project - Consolidate (include audio files) function before you send it to the other computer. It's a good habit to see what any computer does when you save a project.
