moberhau
I've been looking through troubleshooting guides all afternoon and can't figure this out - Logic won't recognize my Steinberg UR44! It works just fine to plug into my MIDI controller, but I haven't been able to get it to work as an audio interface for a microphone. It doesn't show up as an option for an input device on Logic. If I open the UR44's own program on my Mac the sound comes in fine. Can someone please help?

triplets
Did you try Rosetta mode for the Steinberg?
volovicg
I have both the UR44c and the UR816c both work fine with Big Sur and the latest logic - Did you download and install the driver - dspmix software from Steinberg’s Website ?
moberhau
I've not heard of Rosetta - no other tutorials I've looked up mentioned it. I just looked it up, and it seems like one of the new drivers I downloaded yesterday must not have installed. I hope that's it - I'll be back if it's not. Thanks for the info! moberhau
I'm still having no luck - as far as I can tell the drivers are properly installed.

triplets
I've not heard of Rosetta - no other tutorials I've looked up mentioned it. Rosetta is meant for the new M1 Apple chip's compatibility with programs that aren't native, but since you have an Intel chip, it does not apply. So it must be the driver for the Steinberg.
