ethanlikesmusic
Hey all! I am trying to use the software instrument loops in Apple Loops and I am wondering if there is a way to use just the MIDI from the software instrument loop on an existing track. When I drag the software instrument loop onto an existing track, it replaces the instrument and effects I have selected for that track. I would like to be able to just use the MIDI from the software instrument loop with the instrument and effects I have set for my existing track. I have been searching on Google and I am not finding anything. Is there any way to do this? Let me know if you need clarification! Thank you! JakobP
Drag the loop to a new track, drag the region to the track you want, then delete its "autocreated" track ?
ethanlikesmusic
Hey JakobP! That’s an option, but I was hoping there was a more direct way. It’s not that hard to drag the software loop to a new track and then drag the MIDI up from there to another track with the instrument I want to hear it on, but when I’m trying out multiple software instrument loops to find one that inspires me, it can get tedious to do that every time. Thanks for the reply!
JakobP
Yeah, tried to drag it in with different modifiers but to no avail... Someone else knows a way ?
robinloops
Just make one track to drag them to. Don’t delete it. Drag new loops to it. Then to your track. Keep using the same working track to drag them to.
