Yabbadabbadoo
Hi All! I can't move the project end marker further to the right and make it stay there but I need the project to be longer. What can I do? Thanks, Yabs
des99
How long is the project now?

cleamon
Must be some kind of hard limit. I opened the events list and inserted a note at 44100, 1, 1, 1 and Logic changed it to 21611, 1, 1,1. Of course this did not affect the project end, but shows there is a limit.

I'm doing an audio book and it's longer Thanks for checking it out.
des99
If you're not doing MIDI, just lower the tempo... same number of bars, but much longer project time...
Yabbadabbadoo
If you're not doing MIDI, just lower the tempo... same number of bars, but much longer project time... Oh, can I do that without any changes in my editing(no midi used)? Thanks a lot for the tip. EDIT: I tried but it$&@+% up my editing. I assume it would have worked if I started the whole book with the lower tempo right?
Solution fuzzfilth Posted July 27, 2021 Solution Share Posted July 27, 2021 - Select All Regions - Ctrl-Click>SMPTE Lock>Lock SMPTE Position - Change the Tempo - Ctrl-Click>SMPTE Lock>Unlock SMPTE Position
des99
Yes, if you have multiple edited regions, you'll need to smpte lock these in time so they don't shift when you change tempo.
cleamon
If you're not doing MIDI, just lower the tempo... same number of bars, but much longer project time... Ahh! Didn't think of that. I (almost) never use audio tracks. Good info.
des99
Yep, the project limit is a bar limit, rather than a time limit. I assume this is something to do with the data structures that hold the timing/position info relative to the event/timing resolution - I know it's been extended from time to time when the audio engine got upgraded... I started a new new project to continue in before I saw this.
