Timw
For some reason, the output meters in my Multipressor are not jumping around. It's almost as if they are locking in at peaks, but not going back down when I lower the levels. If I click and hold on the output level meter, I see a small message that says "disabled." Have I accidentally changed a setting somewhere? And if I may ask one more.... In Logic 9, when opening a new file, there was an option for opening a Mastering file. That option isn't in Logic 10. So what is the best type of file to use when you're wanting to set up a mastering file? Thanks Edited August 1, 2021 by Timw
des99
It's just a template as a suggested starting point. I'm sure you can open that mastering template project in Logic Pro 10 if you want to. Better still - use it to create your own mastering template with your own preferences in, and use that going forward...
David Nahmani
For some reason, the output meters in my Multipressor are not jumping around. It's almost as if they are locking in at peaks, but not going back down when I lower the levels. You may simply be applying so much gain either before or within the multipressor that the meters are stuck in the max position. How do you lower the level? If you lower the level with the fader on the channel strip that has the Multipressor for example, then you won't see any difference in the Multipressor's meters reading (that are placed earlier in the signal flow). My preference for mastering is to start with an empty Logic project and call up only the tracks and plug-ins that I feel I need for the specific task at hand. You don't have to use a template. Timw
“ how do you lower the level?” Tried it several ways, including the main level on the multi pressor itself. If I drop the main input on the multipressor. Shouldn’t that also drop the output levels? The little disabled sign that I’m picking up when I click my mouse on it suggest to me maybe I’m somehow disabled those controls but I have no idea how it hapoened
