DEVO
It's become time to take the plunge and upgrade my (10.13.6) mid 2010 dual core (with new 500GB SSD) macbook pro to a brand new unit with the new silicon chip. I only really want the new unit for Logic, but seeing as it's been so long (still on 10.4.8) is there a simple video or set of instruction to ensure I transfer my LPX licence onto the new unit please? des99
On the new machine - log in to the AppStore using the app. Find Logic in your Purchased items, and click "Download".
triplets
Or drag the Logic app to a usb flash drive, and then drag it onto the applications folder of the new computer.

analogika
Or just tell it to transfer all your data and applications from the old machine when the new one asks if you want to.
DEVO
Or just tell it to transfer all your data and applications from the old machine when the new one asks if you want to. Ah nice. Does it do that?
analogika
It’s part of the initial setup routine of a new machine.
David Nahmani
On the new machine - log in to the AppStore using the app. Find Logic in your Purchased items, and click "Download". That is also my favorite way to proceed when I want to perform a new clean install on a new machine. Makes 100% sure I'm not reimporting any gremlins that may have appeared on my older Mac. I would recommend that method here.
