Native Instruments M32 & Logic & BigSur Macbook

Hi,

For the past week i've been banging my head over setting up this midi keyboard with logic.

I havent found any youtube tutorials on setting the keyboard up with logic.

I want to play logic stock instruments, using the keyboard. So I'm not necessarily wanting to use native instruments sound library.

I'm starting to think this just isn't possible..

I have a macbook pro. I've used the serial number of the midi keyboard to install the software, which I'm worried is now pointless..

Can anyone confirm my theory?

Plug it in via USB, and the notes you play are sent to Logic and will play whatever software instrument you have selected. I have an A49, which is the exact same thing just with larger keys, and it works fine with Logic.

If this is not happening, perhaps you haven't installed the software properly?

I installed komplete kontrol, which I can open separately, but it also doesnt listen to my keyboard keys.

The only way I can make sounds is by doing cmd+k and using the on screen keyboard..

The browser button has no effect in my DAW or komplete kontrol.

I've also installed native access and downloaded other sound libraries but that didn't help at all.

I've also tried adding the keyboard as a control surface.

My usb cable is going from m32 keyboard through a dongle to usb-c in to my macbook.

I've looked all over the web for advice but still struggling!
