phildogreek
Dear all, I'm looking for a good and up to date method of: slowing down an audio region on one track; I want to make small changes and do so with control. i.e. Lowering the BPM a bit, at the end of a passage; or sometimes within a phrase. I'm not on a BPM. The best way I could think of was: Engage flextime on the target track, make sure all other regions are consolidated and not on flex time - then use the global bpm/tempo changes to affect that track. Then bounce it in place. The other way was chopping and saving selections of audio I want to work on, then using pitch and time, but this is going to be hell. It may even be impossible given the changes in length. Can anyone help advise on a better way to do this? Thank you! Phil
fuzzfilth
Your first idea gives the most control for a gradual change. You can switch between Tempo Sets to go back to the original tempo without losing the changes.

David Nahmani
An alternative method: 1. Chop up the regions you want to work with, 2. Turn Flex on only on that track. 3. Set your Drag mode to Shuffle Left. 4. Click-hold the lower-right corner of a region, press and hold down the Option key and drag to stretch.
