lendee
I am unable to access Logic Pro on my macbook Pro. I have paid for this and it is saying that I must upgrade to a new version which I will have to pay for again. How can this be?
David Nahmani
Software updates are free, you don't have to pay again. What version of macOS do you have on your MacBook Pro? Did you download Logic Pro? Where do you see that message and what does it say exactly?

David Nahmani
I followed instructions to app store and this came up (see photo attached) Ok then I recommend you contact Apple in your country and ask them for help. You obviously should be able to download and install a version that is compatible with your current macOS version.
lendee
I have looked at my Logic Pro version and it is saying Logic Pro 9 - are there any updates for this?
triplets
I have looked at my Logic Pro version and it is saying Logic Pro 9 - are there any updates for this? That is an old Logic version, which is not sold anymore and doesn't work on High Sierra and newer macOS versions, including Catalina. You have to purchase Logic Pro X. There are no updates for Logic Pro 9.
David Nahmani
I have looked at my Logic Pro version and it is saying Logic Pro 9 - are there any updates for this? Oh ok! Then in that case no, there are no updates for making Logic 9 work in mac OSCatalina (Logic Pro 9 was released in 1992). You can continue using Logic Pro 9 on older macOS versions, or you can purchase Logic Pro 10 which works on recent macOS versions.
