A.JayWeber
Hey guys. I made a project and assigned a space designer to a send/bus . Now with every new project (maybe because I'm using a template to start) when I open my send bus number menu on the track. The space designer is always there pre assigned to be selected. I would like to remove it and only see Bus1 Bus2 and so one. Totally blank slate when I open the menu. Thoughts on how to do that?
Atlas007
Have you tried to un-instantiate the (space designer) plugin, then save the project as template under a different name? Or using the same name to overwrite the original template containing the already instantiated space designer.
David Nahmani
It sounds like you've modified the actual template. Open your template, change it however you want (remove Space Designer, delete the Aux, etc...) then choose File > Save As Template again, click the (grayed out) name of the template in the Save As dialog to select the same name, and when prompted, click replace:
fusbur
It took me a few template hiccups to realise that when you open the template the first thing to do is Save As ... with a new project name, so that you're not overwriting the template. David Nahmani
It took me a few template hiccups to realise that when you open the template the first thing to do is Save As ... with a new project name, so that you're not overwriting the template. While it's a good idea to save a project before you even start working inside the project, the only way to overwrite a template is by choosing File > Save As Template, choosing the same template name and confirming that you want to overwrite the file. Not exactly something that would happen by accident. Unless you weren't using Logic's templating system and using a regular project file as your template that is... A.JayWeber
I understand what you mean by replacing template file. And you are very correct. I want to set what you see in this screen shot back to default before I re-save my template.
David Nahmani
I want to set what you see in this screen shot back to default before I re-save my template. Then open the Mixer and delete all the Aux channel strips, they're typically located toward the right of your mixer. Do attach your template here if you need more help! A.JayWeber
I figured it out. Thanks for sending me to the mix window. Input on the mixer. I was hyper focused on looking for the word Send, Aux or Bus. Clicking Input> No input. Now I can rebuild the Template with no pre existing inputs or sends. Thanks all. This forum has been super helpful and rad.
David Nahmani
Note that you still have the two empty Aux channel strips in your Mixer. Because they serve no purpose, I would remove them?
