Transform User Preset Numbers Randomly Assigned?

Hello,

I'm having some trouble getting the "select and operate using transform user preset #" commands to work. First of all, there doesn't seem to be a way to see which user preset corresponds with which number. You'd think they go in order down the list starting with one, but they don't. The first transform set I made in a project was automatically named "New Parameter Set 5," and through trial and error I was only able to get it to work with the key command for user preset 4. I'd think, since it's the first one I made, it'd be triggered with the command for preset 1.

Any insights?

No, I hadn't used presets before in that project. Seems to have just been a fluke, though. Experimenting on other projects, new transform presets were automatically named beginning with 1, and I am able to get them to work with key commands. But if I delete a preset, it gets removed from the list and the next presets don't get moved down in the order, so you can easily lose track of which preset is triggered with which key command. And after you've renamed them, there doesn't seem to be a way to tell which preset is referenced by which number. So I guess I just have to remember if I delete presets. Like, if I delete preset 3 then the third one on the list is actually preset 4 ...

Yes I agree that it's a bit of a mess. Can you see if there is a discrepancy between the list of presets in the Piano Roll's local menu and in the Transform window?

Nope, there's no discrepancy between the two lists.

Oh ok, sometimes you can see older, now deleted used presets appear in the Piano Roll's menu, yet they're no longer in the Transform window menu. I wonder if this is what creates the discrepancy between the preset key commands and what you're seeing in your preset menu.
