Change score style in specific bars

Is is possible to have some bars of a score in Piano 1/3 style be instead in Piano 1+2/3? My goal is to have these selected bars display "retained notes" in one voice, for example have the right-hand thumb on a note for the full bar while the other right-hand fingers play other notes. For this I would need to switch from my usual Piano 1/3 style to Piano 1+2/3 style (otherwise in Piano 1/3 style the note hit first by the thumb will not appear to be "retained" for the full bar). But if I switch to Piano 1+2/3 for the specific bar, it assumes that Piano 1+2/3 is set for all bars and the score then includes whole note (assuming a 4/4 time signature) rests (for empty voice 2) in every bar except the one for which 1+2/3 was intended, which I find ugly. Moreover, the score displays an unwanted rest in voice 1 at the start of the bar. This is not what I see in classical scores, for example, in the first 8 bars of Chopin's prelude number 6.https://musescore.com/classicman/scores/68550, the first 7 bars do show "retained" notes (D and F# in the right hand in bar 1), while the 8th bar has none, and the score does not show any unneeded rests.

I tried cutting the specific bar into a separate region. But (as far as I know), if I wish a full score, I need to join the regions, and if I do that, then a single score style will be adopted.

Is there any simple solution to alternate score styles?
