Logic Sound Library Browser Bug?!!

Every time I save my own channel Strips from external plugins in Logic my Browser does not work anymore as it is supposed to do.

I always use the arrows on my keyboard to navigate through the presets.

Now that I have added my own channel strips the browser acts laggy.

The left and right arrows do not work anymore.

I have to press left and right arrows Twice, when normally I had to click once.

I have to click left and right arrow twice to change between preset folders and when the browser screen changes from folder to folder there is nothing highlighted.

This means I have to use the mouse or the trackpad.

And the browser performance got a lot slower than before adding my own channel strips.

And when I deleted all my own channel strips the browser still does not word.

This is my third Mac and with every Mac I had the same problem. The only way that I know of to resolve this problem is to reinstall OSX again which I am not intended to do after so many weeks of setting my studio up.

I hope you guys have a solution for this.

Thanks

Have you tried SMC & NV/PRAM reset?

BTW, what kind of HD are you using? SSD or mechanical?

Are your libraries installed on an external drive?

Since I am using an M1 MacBook Pro I can't do those resets.

All libraries are on my internal hard disk, I use the latest version of Logic.

With my previous mac's SMC an NV/PRAM reset did not solve the issue.

A new OS install solved it but I am not gonna go there.

Maybe a re-install of LPX will fix this.

Updating your system's specs in your signature could be useful...

Before reinstalling Logic, have you considered trying the usual troubleshooting rundown? Edited by Atlas007

Thanks,

Tried al the steps and it did not work. I am now setting up a test account to test LPX library browser behaviour.

In case I am going to reinstall Logic, if I drag Logic to the trash and re-install it, then will my save patches and channel-strip settings still be there?

Normally yes.

Before proceeding with the re-installation of Logic, try the following:

Choose Logic Pro > Preferences > Control Surfaces > Bypass all Control Surfaces

If that solve your issue, it could mean there is something wrong with the controller assignment or the controller setup...

BTW, just for the sake of it, I corrected the url in my previous post...

Solved!

Before I could use the arrows to navigate through the Sounds. Now that does not work anymore.

However, for anyone experiencing the same problem there is a way.

Copy/Paste all the User Patches and User Channel Strips to the desktop and then paste them back to their original Folder.

Open LPX and Expend the Library Browser.

It should work now, at least for me it did.
