SummerFrankenstein
I've been working with a 90 min movie in logic for a couple months now and just noticed that the total run time of the film is 6 seconds shorter than the same mp4 file when played in VLC or Quicktime. All the scenes are there, they are just condensed. I'm recording backing tracks for a live score performance, so I need it to sync perfectly to the theater's copy of the film. This problem is putting everything later in the film off by a few seconds. Does anyone know what is going on here?
des99
Frame rate issues? SMPTE timecode issues? Check the frame rate of the video and that Logic is set to the same frame rate exactly, and also check the timecode start positions match up etc.
gacki
Let's calculate this: If a 90 min film is off by 6 seconds at the end it would be off by 1 second after 15 min. This in turn would mean 1/15 second per minute or about 2 frames per minute when thinking about typical video formats. This sounds similar (2 frames in 65 seconds): Frame rate in the QT inspector [sOLVED]
